People with diabetes, and health care providers, must be careful to avoid falling into the trap of adding more complexity to diabetes regimens.
More testing, more basal rates, more insulin:carb ratios, more technology … All can add to the burden of diabetes and are not in themselves a guarantee to make things better.
Sometimes making things simpler (at least for a while) is a better way to go. Doing the basics (testing pre-meal, injecting for every meal) consistently is a great place to begin.
