Our Approach
Dr Peter Senior, Endocrinologist & Professor of Medicine
Originally from the U.K., I moved to Edmonton in 2002 to join the Clinical Islet Transplant Program at the University of Alberta. My clinical practice and research are primarily focused around Type 1 Diabetes, Islet Transplantation and Diabetic Kidney Disease. I take care of patients with a broad range of endocrine disorders and teach medical students and residents.i lead a clinical research team conducting clinical trials of new drugs and devices to treat diabetes or its complications.

Background & Training
I grew up in Scotland but went to medical school in Newcastle upon Tyne. After SHO jobs at the RVI and Freeman Hospital I did a PhD before completing my specialist training in Diabetes & Endocrinology.
What I Do
I work with several great teams in different locations, all with the goal of making the lives of people with diabetes better
