“If Things in Diabetes Aren’t Working…

…the answer is rarely to make them more complicated” Prof Roy Taylor

People with diabetes, and health care providers, must be careful to avoid falling into the trap of adding more complexity to diabetes regimens.

More testing, more basal rates, more insulin:carb ratios, more technology … All can add to the burden of diabetes and are not in themselves a guarantee to make things better.

Sometimes making things simpler (at least for a while) is a better way to go. Doing the basics (testing pre-meal, injecting for every meal) consistently is a great place to begin.
